If you are not interested in our 🌅 Sunday Reflection but would like to keep receiving the emails you initially signed up for, Hi Reader If you’d told me seven years ago that this would happen, I’m not sure I would have believed you. This week, I’ve been invited to join Mike Dooley (the New York Times best-selling author of 'Infinite Possibilities' and featured teacher in 'The Secret') - on a live panel with three other people, sharing our stories with people around the world who are considering becoming Infinite Possibilities Certified Trainers. I feel incredibly honoured. And, if I’m honest, I'm having moments when I think, Really? Pinch me! Because seven years ago, in 2019, Phil and I were the ones sitting in the audience. A few years earlier, I had come across Mike Dooley's 'Notes from the Universe' during a very low point in my life. Life had not gone the way I'd planned and I'd reached a point where I even wondered whether it was safer not to have dreams at all than to keep being disappointed when they didn't happen. The Notes from the Universe resonated with me. And that led me to eventually get curious enough to read his book Infinite Possibilities, which is based on a simple but powerful idea which is this. The way we think, the beliefs we hold and the choices we make can influence the direction our lives take. Something about it resonated deeply with both Phil and me. So we saved up to attend the certification conference - not because we had a grand plan to become trainers or build our work around it, but because we wanted to understand those ideas more deeply and, most importantly, learn how to actually apply them in our own lives. We had no idea where that one decision would lead. Seven years later, our lives look very different. We live in Portugal, in a converted stone barn that we’ve lovingly turned into our home. We do work that we genuinely love. We’ve built a wonderful community of people who support each other on their journeys, and much of the work we now care most deeply about has grown from that one decision to go to the conference. And this week, instead of sitting in the audience, I’m humbled to be invited to sit alongside Mike, sharing my own story. I’m still taking that in. Especially because the journey is still unfolding. There are still new dreams, new ideas and new directions to explore - including some exciting new ideas that kept me awake for several hours on Friday night while my mind whirled around in creative mode! But perhaps that's exactly why it's important, every now and then, to pause and look back. When we're always looking towards what might be next, it's easy to forget just how far we've already travelled - and to overlook the small steps that brought us here. Some of the most significant steps we take don't feel particularly significant at the time. We simply feel drawn to something. We follow our curiosity. We say yes. We take the next step without having any idea where it might eventually lead. Phil and I certainly didn't have a seven-year plan when we booked those tickets in 2019. We just took the step that felt right at the time. And perhaps that’s what I find most exciting when I look back now. Our lives today weren't something we had completely mapped out in advance. One step led to another, opening a door we hadn't known existed, which led to another conversation, another idea, another opportunity. Who knows where the next step might lead? So perhaps the gentle thought this week is simply this: What if one of the small steps you’re taking today is the beginning of a story you can’t yet imagine? Live as you dream ❤️ Kimberley and Phil PS. If you're curious about Infinite Possibilities and the journey Phil and I began back in 2019, Mike Dooley is hosting a free live event this week for anyone interested in finding out more about Infinite Possibilities, its impact and the option of becoming an Infinite Possibilities Certified Trainer. I’ll be joining him as one of the panellists to share a little of my story and how this work has unfolded for us. You can find out more and register here. |

Hi Reader “I know it's become a bit of a standing joke that I've been trying to retire since 2020,” our friend Rebecca said as she was speaking during the closing gathering for the crew at last weekend's Infinite Possibilities Certification Conference. For several years now, she's been gradually handing over the reins of some of her work to a small team of us. This time, though, I think she might actually be serious! She wants more time with her husband and grandchildren, more time to travel...
Hi Reader Last Sunday, my friend Suzi and I found ourselves standing in a narrow cobbled street in the little Portuguese village of Alpedrinha, with sheep and goats streaming past us just inches from our legs. Some of them had VERY large horns. This was Chocalhos, a festival celebrating the ancient tradition of 'transhumance' (totally new word to me) - which means the seasonal movement of livestock from one grazing area to another. For generations, shepherds in this part of Portugal moved...
Hi Reader It's been another week of waiting for test results in our house. Thankfully, Phil is making steady progress following his eye surgery. But just as things began to settle down with him, our 12-year-old Bichon Frise, Joey, became unwell. He stopped eating, was barely drinking and couldn't keep anything down. Joey has had some liver problems for the past couple of years, so inevitably our minds began going to the place we didn't want them to go. Was this the beginning of the end? We...
